The designs are formed in collaboration with nature, using a unique creative process, elevating and preserving nature's beauty to enhance your own.

The story of NienkeDesign™️ is personal...a journey born out of life experience, my passion for the beauty I've seen around the world—beauty in the vast range of cultures, people, nature, art, and music. In particular, I am mesmerized by the emotional connection people have to nature, art and music which seems to have the ability to create a unique emotional bond with often otherwise distant and disconnected individuals.

One of the most inspiring parts of the journey has been observing how individuals connect in their individual ways to any one of these universal glories, and the animated conversations between people expressing what they are passionate about and why.

Each individual's connection to what is beautiful in their eyes is personal and passionate.

My creative process and designs were born out of a lifelong love of photography, visual art and design—particularly fashion, interiors and architecture.

Photography has been a way for me to capture and communicate human emotions, beauty and details difficult to express in words.

My designs and unique creative process grew organically out of my personal passions and skills, curiosity and creative experimentation combined with the feedback I received to the designs along the way.

Although feedback to my special process and designs has been from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and personal connections to art, all reactions shared wonder and awe. A common response has been an emotional connection to something personal and specific in any particular design and/or intrigue about the process itself—always something different from one person to the next...but something!

The unique process engages all kinds of people, often unexpectedly to their own surprise. Whether the process is understood or not, reactions are typically energetic, animated discussions about how they feel and what they connect to, eagerness to learn more, and filled with fascination—something often difficult for individuals to articulate. The consistent response, though, has been authentic, emotional and a personal one.

It has been an exciting journey to date, and one I'm excited to share with you!

My creative methods start with a collaboration with nature—it's form, beauty and mystery. My goal starts with embracing nature's fragile moment in time, and transforming it into something lasting, aiming to keep its beauty alive.

This collaboration with nature is central to the thought-provoking designs and distinctive creative process, with an emphasis on sustainability and building a solid relationship with nature and its beauty.

My goal is to elevate natural beauty that connects with individuals and create designs and pieces that strengthen their personal style and connections with nature.

My aspiration is also to create a conversation with a growing community of people that share the vision of embracing and preserving natural beauty, as well as working towards ways to do so! Collaborating with others having similar goals to preserve nature's fragile beauty is a priority. I'm excited to start new conversations with a continuous evolution of designs, products and partnerships with those sharing these goals.
